Anderlecht sporting director Herman Van Holsbeeck has insisted that the club are not willing to sell West Ham midfield target Leander Dendoncker this month.

West Ham are interested in signing the 22-year-old midfielder in January and Hammers assistant manager Stuart Pearce was in Belgium on Sunday to watch him in action against Genk.

The east London club are keen to sit down for talks with Anderlecht for Dendoncker, but for the moment the Belgian giants have not shown an appetite to sell him.

Anderlecht sporting director Van Holsbeeck stressed that the club are yet to receive any concrete bid for Dendoncker in the winter window.

And unless they receive an offer of epic proportions, the Belgian deal-maker stressed that the club have no interest in selling the midfielder this month.

Speaking about Dendoncker's future and that of his team-mate Adrien Trebel, he told Belgian daily L’Avenir: “We have not received any offers.

“Unless there is a huge amount of money, they won’t leave.

“We are not going to sell our best players when we still have a small chance to win the league.”

The midfielder is said to be keen to leave this month as he does not believe a new regime at Anderlecht could ask for unrealistic money for him in the summer.
