Ross McCormack, who has been linked with a return to Leeds United this month, is due to arrive back in the UK by the end of this week for talks over his future with Aston Villa.

The striker has been on loan in Australia with Melbourne City and has discovered his shooting boots Down Under, with a superb 14 goals in 16 A League games.

Melbourne City want the 31-year-old to come back for another spell, but are aware the odds are very much against it.

Leeds were recently linked with having made a bid for the Scottish striker and the Whites are on the lookout for another goalscorer to add to the ranks before the transfer window closes.

Now the ball is set to start rolling on resolving McCormack's future and, according to the Press Association, he is booked on a 6am flight from Australia as he heads back to the UK.
