Real Madrid are again set to pursue Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea next summer and have touched based with his agent Jorge Mendes.

De Gea has been one of the standout goalkeepers of European football over the last few seasons and Jose Mourinho termed him the best in the world earlier in the season.

He came close to joining Real Madrid in 2015 when the transfer did not go through on summer deadline day due to the lack of proper paperwork and since then the Spaniard has become even more of a wanted commodity.

Real Madrid are set to pursue the goalkeeper again next summer and according to Spanish radio station Cadena SER, they have got in touch with super agent Mendes to discuss a proposed deal.

The European champions have been informed that a transfer fee of around €100m will be needed to tempt Manchester United into selling the goalkeeper at the end of the season.
