Leeds United and Rangers' chances of winning the race for highly rated West Brom striker Tyler Roberts have suffered a serious blow after AC Milan entered the mix.

Roberts is out of contract at the Baggies at the end of the season and Leeds are reported to have already had an offer of £4m knocked back by the Premier League side.

Clubs outside England will be able to sign him for a minimal compensation fee, something which has made Roberts attractive to Scottish giants Rangers.

But Leeds and Rangers will have a battle on their hands winning the race for Roberts if he does decide against signing a new contract with the Baggies and chooses to leave the Hawthorns.

According to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan are now keen on Roberts, while two other Serie A sides in the shape of Torino and Sampdoria are attentive to the striker's talents.
