Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi has made up his mind about joining Borussia Dortmund on loan, but is waiting for the Blues to secure a replacement.

Batshuayi’s future at Chelsea has been firmly under the scanner this month and he is keen to leave the club in the winter window to play regular football ahead of the summer’s World Cup.

However, his fate depends on a number of moving pieces in the transfer chess board which involves multiple clubs and players agreeing to moves before Wednesday’s transfer deadline.

The Belgium rejected a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur as he does not want to be second choice at another club and it seems he has made up his mind about which club he wants to join.

Dortmund are interested in signing him on loan as replacement for Arsenal bound Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and according to Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws, Batshuayi wants to move to the Westfalenstadion.

He is expected to play more regularly with Dortmund and the temptation of more minutes has made up the striker’s mind about a January switch to the Bundesliga.

However, Batshuayi will have to wait until Chelsea sign a replacement. The Blues want to sign Olivier Giroud from Arsenal, who won’t allow the Frenchman to leave unless they manage to secure Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
