Burnley have made a late move for Anderlecht forward Sofiane Hanni, who had a medical with Spartak Moscow yesterday.

The Anderlecht captain, who scored a hat-trick in his last outing, is almost certain leave the club in the winter window and he seemed Russian bound until recently.

He travelled to Russia yesterday and underwent a medical with Spartak Moscow ahead of a proposed transfer but the two clubs are yet to reach a definitive agreement.

And it seems a Premier League side have made a late move to scupper Spartak Moscow’s hopes of signing Hanni as according to Het Nieuwsblad, Burnley have entered the chase for the forward.

Despite a medical with the Russian outfit, his transfer to Spartak Moscow is highly uncertain at the moment because of Burnley’s late maneuver to sign the Algerian on deadline day.

The Anderlecht captain prefers a move to England over Russia and at the moment it is unclear which country or club he will end up in by the time the transfer window closes today.
