Manchester City have made what they are dubbing a 'final offer' to Leicester City for Riyad Mahrez on deadline day, according to Sky Sports News HQ.

The Premier League leaders made a late move for the Algerian winger last night and it prompted the player to hand in a transfer request to force his way out of Leicester.

The Foxes have already rejected a £50m plus bid from Manchester City for Mahrez and while they don’t want to sell the player, they value him at around £75m.

Manchester City have now come back to the table with a bid of £65m plus a player, meaning they are ready to play a club record fee to get the deal over the line.

It has been claimed that the offer will be the Citizens' last move to sign Mahrez.
