Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund.

The Gunners have paid a club-record fee to land the Gabon international and are expected to sell Olivier Giroud to Chelsea to then allow the Blues to loan Michy Batshuayi to Dortmund; the Belgian will be Aubameyang's replacement.

Arsenal confirmed via a statement on their official site: "The 28-year-old has joined us from Borussia Dortmund on a long-term contract for a club-record fee."

The Gunners have yet to confirm which squad number Aubameyang will wear at the Emirates Stadium for the duration of his stay.

Aubameyang has been prolific in front of goal, netting 98 times in 144 Bundesliga games for Dortmund, and Arsenal will hope he can transfer that form over to the Premier League.
