Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is undergoing a medical ahead of his proposed transfer to Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund, according to Sky Sports News HQ.

The 28-year-old striker arrived in London on Tuesday and even paid a visit to Arsenal’s training ground to get a feel of his new club ahead of a transfer.

Arsene Wenger more or less confirmed that Arsenal are set to sign Aubameyang and the club have now taken another step towards securing the deal for the Gabon international.

Now the striker is undergoing a medical with Arsenal ahead of his switch and is expected to become a Gunner by the time the transfer window slams shut today.

Aubameyang has already agreed personal terms with the Gunners and will sign a contract once he successfully passes the medical tests at the north London club.

The wheels of Aubameyang’s move to Arsenal came into motion yesterday after Arsenal agreed a deal with Chelsea to sell Olivier Giroud to their London rivals.

Chelsea have also agreed a deal to loan out Michy Batshuayi to Dortmund, who see the Belgian as the Gabon striker’s successor at the Westfalenstadion.

Wenger will hope a signing of Aubameyang’s quality will boost his team, who lost 3-1 to Swansea last night.
