Leeds United legend Eddie Gray thinks the Whites probably did not deserve to get even a point from their matches against Hull City this season.

The Yorkshire giants, who played out a goalless draw at the KCOM Stadium on Tuesday evening, won 1-0 in the corresponding fixture in December, despite the Tigers being the dominant team at Elland Road.

Hull looked slightly better than Leeds on Tuesday as well, with Whites goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald being adjudged the man of the match for the contest as his string of saves kept the relegation-threatened team at bay.

And Gray, who feels Leeds’ woeful passing was the biggest negative of their performance against Hull, believes his former team are fortunate at managing to pick up four points from two games against the Tigers in the present campaign.

“I don’t think we passed the ball well tonight”, he told LUTV.

“I think that was our downfall tonight – passing the ball, right from the word go, wasn’t good enough.

“But when you look at it, we have picked up four points from Hull City.

“And probably at the end of the day, we deserved none.

“We didn’t play well, they didn’t play well, but if there was any team that were going to win the game, it looked as if it was going to be Hull City.

“If you look at the game, our goalkeeper was the man of the match – what does that tell you?”

Leeds, who are currently 10th in the Championship table, will next face Cardiff City in a home game at the weekend.
