Spain’s Girona and the Netherlands’ NAC Breda are also believed to be under consideration as they are Manchester City’s sister clubs.

While Manchester City do not have any direct arrangement with Celtic, they have been impressed by Patrick Roberts’ development at Paradise and could loan out Gomes to the Scottish champions.

It also remains to be seen whether Celtic also show an interest in the Frenchman in the coming transfer windows.
