Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has been keeping tabs on Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino for several months, but is yet to make a move to secure him.

The Parisians are expected to get rid of Unai Emery after he again failed to show any progress in the Champions League with an expensively assembled PSG team this season.

The PSG hierarchy are on the lookout for a new coach and have already reportedly sounded out Chelsea manager Antonio Conte’s entourage over a potential summer move to the French capital.

However, the Parisians have other names on their shortlist and according to French sports daily L’Equipe, the club president has been taking a keen interest in another Premier League manager.

Despite Tottenham’s exit from the Champions League, Pochettino remains a shining star amongst managers and Al-Khelaifi has been closely following the Argentine for a while.

The PSG president has talked about the Tottenham boss with former PSG player Serge Aurier, but his main source of information about the former defender is Israeli super-agent Pini Zahavi.

Zahavi played a key role in Lucas Moura’s move to Tottenham from PSG in January and has close contacts at the north London club.

The Israeli has been feeing information to Al-Khelaifi about Pochettino’s methods and the PSG president has been impressed with what he has heard about the Spurs manager.

He has taken notice of the fact Pochettino has improved a number of players at Tottenham and believes he could do the same if he gets an opportunity to manage PSG.

The Tottenham manager’s entourage are also claimed to be interested in an offer from the Parisians.

However, PSG could have to fork out a hefty compensation to snare Pochettino away from Spurs as he has a contract until 2021 with the club.
