Carlo Ancelotti has stressed the importance of waiting until the end of the season amidst rumours of him being on the shortlist to replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.

The three-time Champions League winning manager has been without a job since being sacked at Bayern Munich last year and has been tipped to return to management in the summer.

Ancelotti has been on Italy’s shortlist as they look to appoint a head coach soon but there is speculation that the experienced manager is a top contender to replace Wenger at Arsenal.

The Gunners are believed to be considering moving on Wenger at the end of the season and the Italian is believed to be on their radar, but Ancelotti refused to address the rumours.

He stressed that it is important to wait until the end of the season to see how things materialise as scenarios could change rapidly.
