Celtic midfielder Scott Brown has revealed that if he was not playing in Scotland he would love to turn out for Italian heavyweights Juventus.

The freshly retired Scotland international has never plied his trade outside of his homeland, with the 32-year-old being a product of Hibernian’s youth set-up.

Brown, who made his senior debut for Hibs in May 2003 before joining Celtic in the summer of 2007, has managed to make more than 450 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops, helping the club to win seven league titles, three Scottish Cups and four Scottish League Cups.

And Brown, who explained that he used to follow Italian football when he was younger, insisted that he would have loved to play for Juventus if he had the opportunity to represent any other team other than a Scottish outfit.

“I used to watch Italian football when I was younger and I used to always love Juventus”, he told Celtic TV, when asked if he was not playing in Scotland, who would he like to play for.
