Celtic skipper Scott Brown has explained he is aware that Rangers have been talking a lot this week, ahead of the Glasgow derby on Sunday.

The Gers, who beat Falkirk 4-1 last weekend in a Scottish Cup quarter-final clash, will head into the high profile fixture on the back of six consecutive victories in all competitions.

Rangers presently find themselves just six points and a place adrift of Celtic, who have a game in hand, and several former Light Blues stars feel Graeme Murty’s team are favourites to win at Ibrox at the weekend.

And Brown, who admitted that he is conscious of the chatter from the Rangers camp, however insisted that Celtic will go into the game full of confidence, owing to their record of coming out victorious from their last three trips to Ibrox.

“I think they’ve managed to talk quite a lot this week”, he told Celtic TV, when asked if the Hoops players are fired up, knowing Rangers consider themselves the favourites for the Glasgow derby.

“We were just doing our usual job and in our last three games at Ibrox, we have been excellent.

“Three wins there. There are not a lot of teams who have done that to be fair.

“The pitch will be good as well, so that will help us.

“We are going there just as confident as we ever would be.”

Celtic have played Rangers twice in the league this season, winning one and drawing the other.
