Former AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has urged the Rossoneri to continue to believe that they can edge past Arsenal in the Europa League.

Arsenal took a big step towards the quarter-finals of the competition when they produced a great away performance to win 2-0 at the San Siro in the first leg last week.

The Gunners are overwhelming favourites to get the job done at home tonight in the second leg and not many are expecting AC Milan to pull something out of the hat at the Emirates.

Boateng admits that it is important that the Rossoneri learn from their mistakes in the first leg but conceded that it is going to be hard for them to turn the tie around in north London.

However, the midfielder stressed that AC Milan must not lose hope and play like a team who are still in with a chance to make it to the last eight of the Europa League.

“I hope Milan will not make the same mistakes as the first leg, this is crucial”, Boateng told Italian outlet Tutto Mercato.

“I think it’s going to be very hard in London, but the Rossoneri can still make it.

“They have to believe that they can qualify and play like that.”

Arsenal’s poor performance at home against Ostersund in the previous round may provide hope to AC Milan.
