Jason Cundy believes Chelsea's 1-1 draw at home against West Ham United has ended any chance of the Blues being able to catch Liverpool in the race to finish in the Premier League's top four.

Chelsea were hoping to beat West Ham to cut the gap to Liverpool, in third, to eight points, with Jurgen Klopp's team still to visit Stamford Bridge this season, meaning the gap could have effectively been shrunk to five points.

But with Chelsea failing to win, they are ten points off Liverpool and fourth placed Tottenham Hotspur.

And as such, Cundy believes it is well and truly lights out on their lingering top four hopes.

"Listen, Liverpool drew yesterday and there was a very slim outside chance that we might be able to catch them", Cundy said on Chelsea TV.
