Arsenal and Liverpool linked Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas has stressed his desire to do justice to his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Costa Rican has a contract with the club that runs until June 2020 with rumours suggesting that he might be replaced at the end of the season.

While Los Blancos have long been linked with a move for Manchester United custodian David de Gea, the interest has recently cooled with the Red Devils also not showing keenness in selling their star player.

The Madrid giants were also close to agreeing a deal for Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga in January, but the deal eventually failed to go through.

Navas, whose presence between the sticks would be jeopardised with the arrival of another goalkeeper, insists that he is keen on doing justice to his contract.

Responding to questions about whether he would leave Real Madrid at the end of the season the 31-year-old told beIN Sports: "Yes, I think that I am going to leave Madrid at the end of the season but to go home with my family to relax.

"I have two years left on my contract which I intend to fulfill.

"I don't listen to any of the rumours off the pitch."

While Manchester United had been touted as Navas's most possible destination with De Gea going in the opposite direction, other Premier League sides in the shape of Liverpool and Arsenal have most recently been linked.
