PSV Eindhoven technical director Marcel Brands has confirmed that Everton have been in touch over taking him to Goodison Park, but the Dutchman is unsure on his future.

Brands remains under contract at PSV Eindhoven and the Dutch giants are hoping to keep hold of him, despite knowing Everton are working to tempt him to England.

Everton believe Brands could help identify top talent to take to Goodison Park and want to appoint him in the summer.

But Brands, who insists he is flattered by Everton's interest, admits he has never been one to change clubs easily and he is happy at PSV Eindhoven.

He told NRC: "Everton, it's flattering, but I've said no more than yes in recent years.

"I also said yes to PSV only the second time.

"I have a very nice job and a nice life here.

"The question is whether I want to give it up.

"I've never been a club-hopper", Brands added.

The technical director has a contract with PSV Eindhoven which runs until the summer of 2020.

The Dutch side are on course to win the Eredivisie title and currently boast a lead of seven points over second placed Ajax, with just four games to play.
