Former Borussia Dortmund winger Jakub Blaszczykowski has revealed that he is keen to see his former coach Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool team succeed in the Champions League this season.

Liverpool defied odds to comfortably beat Manchester City in the quarter-finals over two legs and have made it to the last four of the competition for the first time in a decade.

Klopp and his team have played some scintillating football in Europe this season and apart from the Reds supporters, Liverpool will also receive former Dortmund winger Blaszczykowski's backing in the semi-finals.

The 32-year-old was part of Klopp’s successful Dortmund teams in the past and because of their shared history, the winger admits he will be praying for his former coach’s success in Europe this season.

“I’ll keep my fingers crossed for Klopp”, the former winger told Bild.
