Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts has asked the Liverpool fans to refrain from participating in the debate surrounding Harry Kane’s goal at the weekend.

Kane claimed at the weekend that he scored the winning goal against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium, but the Premier League have maintained that the striker didn’t touch Christian Eriksen’s free-kick.

The Spurs striker is in a race with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah for the Premier League’s Golden Boot and Reds fans have naturally taken digs at Kane for claiming a goal that was not, according to the authorities, his.

Roberts is not too happy with Liverpool fans getting involved in the debate and insisted Tottenham can take care of their own business without Reds fans poking their noses in.

The Spurs legend stressed that Kane is happy being a team player at Tottenham and loves scoring goals for the club.

Roberts took to Twitter and wrote: “Liverpool fans seem very concerned about [the] Harry Kane goal from weekend.

“If it was or was not we will worry about our house you worry about yours.

“Harry [is] one of the nicest fellas you will ever meet.

"He’s also someone who is a proper team player and a winner who wants goals for his club he loves.”

Kane has 24 league goals to his name this season, five behind Liverpool’s Salah, who is the Premier League's top scorer at the moment.
