West Ham attacker Marko Arnautovic believes that a win against Stoke City on Monday night would be a big step in the Hammers' battle to secure their Premier League status.

The Hammers are currently placed 14th on the league table with 34 points from 32 games, six points above the relegation zone.

Their opponents on Monday though sit deep in the danger zone, with 27 points from 33 games and have lost their last four matches in the league.

The 28-year-old insists that the stakes will be high against Stoke, his former club, with both sides looking for maximum points to help their respective causes.

West Ham will have home advantage in the game and thrashed Stoke 3-0 in the earlier meeting between the two clubs. And another three points would be hugely important, Arnautovic says.

"This game is massive.

"It's a big game for us, for the club, and for the fans.

"We will go all together on Monday and we will try as hard as we can to get the three points."
