Chelsea legend Tommy Langley has urged the Blues to tighten up at the back ahead of their Thursday night trip to Turf Moor to take on Burnley.

Antonio Conte's men won 3-2 away at Southampton on Saturday, but the Blues needed to rally after going 2-0 down by the hour mark.

Burnley sit in seventh spot in the Premier League table and on course to qualify for Europe next season – and Langley is impressed.

The Chelsea legend is not taking success against the Clarets for granted and wants the Blues to make sure they get it right at set pieces as he warned at Burnley there will be no way back from 2-0 down.

"What price at the start of the season them being in the top eight? It would have been huge", Langley said on Chelsea TV.

"If we defend like we did today from set pieces then we could find ourselves two or three down and we're not going to get back in the game.

"They are decent at set pieces."

Chelsea are facing an uphill battle to finish in the Premier League's top four this season and will surely need to win at Turf Moor if they are to stand any chance of reeling in either Tottenham Hotspur or Liverpool.
