Michy Batshuayi has revealed that his season is now probably over after he picked up an injury in Borussia Dortmund's derby loss to Schalke on Sunday.

The Chelsea striker, who is on loan at Dortmund, was stretchered off in the clash between the two Ruhr giants and it was initially feared he may have broken either his leg or his ankle.

That was then claimed to not be the case, with ligament damage suspected.

Batshuayi has now confirmed that his season has been likely ended by the injury as he took to social media to provide an update.

He wrote: "Well it's not good news for now, my season is probably over, and I wont be able to pay Dortmund back for their confidence.
