Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has conceded that he has his sights on winning the Premier League's Golden Boot this season.

The Egyptian has been in amazing form since arriving from AS Roma last summer, scoring a resounding 40 goals in 45 overall matches, including 30 in the league.

In the process the 25-year-old has helped his side notch up a total of 78 goals in the league thus far, second only to league leaders and confirmed champions Manchester City.

Salah now stands at the top of the pile in terms of the most goals scored in the league and insists that he has the Golden Boot in his sight, with his nearest competition being Tottenham's Harry Kane, who has 25 in the league.

The former Chelsea player has thanked his team-mates for helping him score goals, trying to pass the ball to him every time they sense an opportunity to score.

“I cannot lie, it is in my mind. But you can see against Bournemouth that everyone in the team tries to pass the ball to me to help me”, Salah told his club's official website.

“I am happy to have this feeling. You feel all the team want to support you and want to help you score goals.

“I am also sure that Tottenham’s players try to help Harry Kane and also Manchester City’s try to help Sergio Aguero.

"It’s like that but in the end we play as a team.”
