Alex Rae feels that both Lee Wallace and Kenny Miller have played their last games for Rangers.

The pair have been suspended by the Ibrox outfit as they conduct an investigation into a bust-up with manager Graeme Murty following a 4-0 loss against Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final at the weekend.

Stories over what happened in the dressing room have swirled, but the only comment from the club has been to suspend Wallace and Miller.

And Rae thinks that given Miller is out of contract in the summer and Wallace has just another year on his deal, the pair have likely played their final game for Rangers.

"Kenny will move on", Rae told BBC Scotland.

"I'd think Lee Wallace has probably played his last game for the club."

Rae also took aim at Murty's inexperience and insists that had Rangers had a more seasoned boss in the dugout then the bust-up might have been handled better, while Andy Halliday and Daniel Candeias' anger at being substituted would not have been seen.

"If you had someone in there like Graeme Souness, Walter Smith or Alex McLeish, I'm not sure you'd have had the reaction of the players, particularly on the bench.

"There's always been words within the dressing room but I'm not sure one of those guys would have suspended people on the back of words being shared", he added.

Rangers still have to play Celtic again this season, with the two due to meet at Celtic Park in a Scottish Premiership fixture towards the end of the month.
