West Ham boss David Moyes insists that his team's target is to go unbeaten for the remainder of the season, though he is well aware of the difficulties associated with the task.

Though the Hammers are currently placed 14th in the league table with 35 points from 33 games, the margin for error is minimal, as the gap between themselves and relegation battlers Southampton is just six points.

And so the former Manchester United manager has stressed the need for the team to continue with their winning habit, starting with the match against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium this Sunday.

Praising the team's performance against Stoke City on Monday, the manager said that good performances always warrant good results and so it would not be that much of a surprise if the Hammers turn the 1-1 draw against the Potters into a win against Arsenal at the Emirates.

“We have good belief as a team. I think we feel as though we played well in the game against Stoke but we just didn’t score the goals", Moyes said at a press conference.

"Good performances do lead to good results and I do hope we can continue. We are on a decent run at the moment.

“I’m trying to get a level of consistency to our play and to not be so up and down all the time.

"So really that’s the message I’m trying to get out and what we hope to do.

"The first part would be to try and go unbeaten for the rest of the season, which isn’t an easy task, but it is a target that we have to set for ourselves.”
