Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says that the Reds will not change their style of play to help Mohamed Salah in his bid to win the Golden Boot.

The Egyptian leads the Premier League goalscoring chart with 30 goals in the league, six ahead of his nearest competitor Harry Kane and nine clear of Manchester City's Sergio Aguero.

While the manager does not deny the fact that achieving a personal goal is always important, he insisted that the team's targets are the main focus for all concerned at Anfield.

With a place in the top four of the league almost certain now, the Reds are looking towards the Champions League, where they are scheduled to fight AS Roma for a place in the final.

“There are always personal targets, but the main target for Mo is to finish in the Champions League spots and, in an ideal world, to go to the final – and if you are then there, to win the final", Klopp said at a pre-match press conference.

“We don’t have to think too much about that; it’s not that we start now bringing him into situations where he can score.

"We have to play normal football and in the end, if Mo is at his best, he will be a goal threat at least.

"If he is in the right positions, he will score or not.

"That’s how it always was."

Salah's tally in the Champions League stands at eight, with the Egyptian having played ten overall matches, with another three assists also added to his name.
