Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has admitted that despite not liking Liverpool he thinks they will put Roma out of the Champions League to reach the final.

Liverpool crushed Premier League champions Manchester City in the quarter-finals and have been handed a two-legged tie against Roma in the semi-finals, with the first leg at Anfield on Tuesday.

Ferdinand is no fan of Manchester United's fierce rivals, but cannot see beyond Jurgen Klopp's men reaching the Champions League final.

He told RMC Sport: "I do not like the Reds, but I think they will win.

"They really have a great team and with Manchester City they managed to overturn the odds", Ferdinand added.
