Jody Morris believes that places are up for grabs in the Chelsea team that will face Manchester United in the FA Cup final in May.

Chelsea booked their spot in the final of the domestic cup competition by beating Mark Hughes' Southampton 2-0 at Wembley on Sunday, something which means they will play Jose Mourinho's men next month.

Last season as Chelsea marched to the Premier League title, boss Antonio Conte regularly stuck with the same side, but there has been more churn in the current campaign.

And Morris thinks that heading towards the date at Wembley, players should know there is every chance they can stake a claim to start.

The Blues youth coach said on Chelsea TV: "I think given that we are not a team that are playing at our best, I think there are opportunities for anyone who can perform from now until when the cup final is.

"There may be games between now and the end of the season where we play two up top. You never know. If [Alvaro] Morata hits a bit of form, or others, in that change of formation, it could be the one he ends up going with.

"There's a lot to play for."

Chelsea are still hoping to stage an unlikely comeback in the Premier League before the FA Cup final as they look to finish in the top four.

The Blues are five points behind fourth placed Tottenham Hotspur with just four games left to play.
