Potential new Rangers manager Frank de Boer has admitted he is ready to go again after recharging his batteries.

The Dutchman was sacked by Crystal Palace towards the start of the season, having taken charge of only four Premier League games as Eagles boss.

De Boer has been taking a break from the game, but the Dutchman is now ready to answer the call to head back into club management once again.

A former Rangers player, he has been mooted as a contender to take over at Ibrox in the summer and the Gers will no doubt be pleased to hear he is now ready to jump back into the fray.

De Boer said to RMC Sport when asked about his future: "We have to wait.

"I feel ready for a new job."

Rangers have struggled to live up to expectations this season and manager Graeme Murty is not expected to have his contract renewed in the summer.

De Boer led Ajax to four consecutive Dutch Eredivisie titles when coach of the Amsterdam club, but has since had disappointing spells at both Inter and Crystal Palace.
