Roma president James Pallotta has revealed he does not know whether to go to Anfield to watch the first leg of his side's Champions League semi-final tie against Liverpool.

Anfield is expected to create a memorable atmosphere for the last four clash, but Pallotta may not be in the stands watching his Roma side in action as he considers missing the game for superstitious reasons.

The Roma president confirmed he will be in the UK, but may not go, telling Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport: "I will fly to London on Monday, so I could go to Liverpool.

"But I did not go to Barcelona while I was on my way back to Rome, so I do not know what to do."

Pallotta stressed: "I have to follow my superstitions, but we can knock anyone out if we play 94 minutes like we did against Barcelona."
