Paul Heckingbottom looks set to remain in charge of Leeds United despite the Whites' poor run since he took over.

Leeds tempted Heckingbottom to leave Barnsley to take over at Elland Road in February and were hoping for a new manager bounce to keep their hopes of a top six finish in the Championship alive.

But Heckingbottom could not stop the rot and the Whites' top six ambitions quickly died.

Leeds won on Saturday, Heckingbottom seeing off his former employers Barnsley 2-1, but question marks remain over his future, with a number of fans unconvinced about the ex-Tykes boss.

It had been reported in some quarters that Heckingbottom is set for the sack, however according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, all the indications are he will stay in his job at Leeds into the summer.
