Atletico Madrid will be without full-back Juanfran for their trip to north London to take on Arsenal on Thursday night.

Diego Simeone's men lock horns with the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final tie.

The Argentine tactician will need to make do without the services of Juanfran, who was forced off injured in Atletico Madrid's goalless La Liga draw with Real Betis at the weekend.

Atletico Madrid have now put Juanfran through an MRI scan and he has an injury to the hamstring on his left thigh.

Juanfran has made 15 appearances for Atletico Madrid in the current campaign, as well as turning out on six occasions during their Europa League run.
