Liverpool legend and former multiple FA Cup winner Steve Nicol thinks Harry Kane did not turn up for Tottenham Hotspur against Manchester United on Saturday.

Tottenham were hoping to shake off their tag of chokers when it matters and reach the FA Cup final by putting Jose Mourinho's team out.

But despite going ahead, Manchester United pegged Spurs back and then took the lead in the second half, slamming the door on any comeback from Tottenham.

Kane completed all 90 minutes at Wembley, but was unable to affect the game and Nicol says he was awful.

Nicol said on ESPN FC: "Was Harry Kane playing in this game? Harry Kane was awful in my opinion."

The former FA Cup winner feels that Manchester United got their game plan right and played in the perfect way to see off Spurs.

"Manchester United were absolutely spot on, defended in the right area to win the ball back and then break.

"You've got to give them some credit", he added.

Tottenham will now head into another summer without having picked up silverware, something boss Mauricio Pochettino will be desperate to change next season.
