Norwich City legend Wes Hoolahan will leave the Canaries at the end of the season, with Saturday's meeting against Leeds United his final game for the club.

The Canaries have confirmed that the 35-year-old playmaker is to depart, with both the club and Hoolahan having agreed that the Leeds game will be his final one for the side.

Norwich are keen to make sure that Hoolahan can sign off on his Canaries career at Carrow Road in front of the club faithful.

Hoolahan has made 351 appearances for Norwich since signing from Blackpool in 2008.

The playmaker's appearance against Leeds will move him up to joint 16th in the list of all-time appearances for Norwich.

Norwich boss Daniel Farke has been keen to hail Hoolahan, lauding his personality and character, while admitting he wishes he had been able to work with the Canaries legend earlier.

Farke told the club's official site: "I feel really blessed and thankful to have been his coach. It’s been a big pleasure to work with Wes, not only because of his ability but also because of his personality and character.

"I’ve made it clear before just how much I would have appreciated working with him when he was 26, because he’s an unbelievable player.

"He’s a club legend already, and we know he will be even more of a legend in the future."
