Liverpool legend John Aldridge does not believe the fact that Roma goalkeeper Alisson conceded five goals at Anfield on Tuesday evening needs to reflect badly upon him.

Alisson had to pick the ball out of the net on five occasions as Liverpool thrashed Roma 5-2 in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie.

The Brazilian goalkeeper has been mooted to be a transfer target for Liverpool in the summer, while Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are also keen.

But Aldridge thinks letting in five goals at Anfield does not need to reflect badly on Alisson.

The Liverpool legend said on LFC TV: "To be fair, I don't think there was much he could do about them."
