The agent of Liverpool and Manchester City midfield target Jorginho has insisted that his client is keen to focus on Napoli’s bid to win the Serie A title towards the end of the season.

The Italy international’s future has been under the scanner in recent months, with a number of big European clubs believed to be keen to snare him away from Napoli in the summer.

The Serie A giants are also plotting to offer him a new deal, but many believe Jorginho will pack his bags soon, with clubs such as Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool keeping tabs on him.

Jorginho is expected to play a starring role if Napoli are to chase down Juventus to end their domination of Italian football this season and their win over the Bianconeri at the weekend has put them within a point of the table toppers.

And Jorginho’s agent, Joao Santos, stressed that for the moment his client is not willing to be distracted by the speculation over his future at the club.

Asked if the midfielder will sign a new contract with Napoli, Santos told Radio Marte: “We can talk about it at the end of the season.

“We are just four games away from the end of the campaign and we don’t want to feel disturbed at this moment.

“After the league season Jorginho played, it’s normal that big teams are after him, but even if I was speaking with four or five teams doesn’t mean he is ready to move away.”

Manchester City are said to be the team currently pushing to take Jorginho to England at the moment.
