Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere are available for Arsenal’s Europa League clash on Thursday against Atletico Madrid after they returned to training today.

Arsenal are heading into the first leg of their semi-final clash knowing that they need to win the competition to play in next season’s Champions League as their top four hopes are more or less over.




Arsene Wenger is hoping to name his strongest squad for the first leg of their semi-final tie at home and has received a boost with some key stars returning to training.

According to Sky Sports News HQ, Wilshere and Ozil have returned to training and will be available for selection against Atletico Madrid at the Emirates.
 


Goalkeeper Petr Cech has already returned to training along with Sead Kolasinac and they have also made themselves available for the big game against the Spanish.

Wenger is set to leave Arsenal at the end of the season and is hoping to end his 22-year stint with the club by winning his first European trophy in the form of the Europa League.

There are already suggestions that a lack of Champions League football this season is set to affect their transfer budget for the summer transfer window.

And another season out of Europe’s elite club competition could further hit the cash registers at the Emirates.
