Schalke coach Domenico Tedesco has been left unimpressed by Arsenal and Liverpool target Max Meyer’s listless attitude in training and is not expected to play him again in the starting eleven again this season.

The midfielder is out of contract in the summer and he has rejected offers of a fresh new deal from Schalke, which is set to pave the way for him to leave the club at the end of the season.

Schalke have more or less given up on holding on to the German midfielder and Tedesco has also been sidelining Meyer from his plans, which is clear from the fact that he has made only one start in the last six league games.

Meyer has remained an unused substitute in four of their last six league games and it is clear that the midfielder is set to leave the club without doing too much more on the pitch.

Tedesco has insisted that Meyer’s decision not to sign a contract has nothing to do with him not playing and according to German daily Bild, the Schalke coach has been left frustrated by his lack of application in training.

It has been claimed that the midfielder has not been performing at his peak in training and his attitude has annoyed the rest of the players and the Schalke coach.

With only a few games left in the season, Tedesco is unlikely to start the midfielder unless he improves his training performances drastically over the next few weeks.

And it seems the player, who is wanted at Arsenal and Liverpool, could end his time at Schalke without much fanfare.
