Manchester United loanee Andreas Pereira has insisted that he will not accept another loan move in the summer and wants clarification on his future from the club.

Jose Mourinho wanted to keep hold of Pereira last summer, but the Brazilian pushed through a loan move to Valencia in pursuit of playing regular first team football.

The Manchester United manager was not pleased by the player’s insistence on a move to Spain, but Pereira insists that he has been in touch with Mourinho and his staff, who have been regularly following his development at Valencia.

The midfielder told Sport/Voetbalmagazine: “Manchester United’s technical staff are following me closely and we make regular calls or exchange texts on WhatsApp.

“Also with Jose Mourinho.”

Pereira will return to Manchester United in the summer and with the club expected to invest heavily in midfield areas, the competition for places will be even more cut throat.

He stressed that he is not interested in another loan move as he feels that he needs to settle down at one club to build his career.

“Whether I will stay at Valencia depends on Manchester United.

"All options are open, but I don’t want to be loaned out again.

“To show what I can do, I need clarity this summer and I want to stay somewhere for two or three years to build something up.”
