Huddersfield Town and Southampton have been keeping tabs on Belgium international and Club Brugge winger Anthony Limbombe ahead of the summer transfer window.

A product of the Genk academy, the Belgian joined Club Brugge from Dutch club NEC Nijmegen in 2016 and has been a key part of their squad over the last two seasons.

He has a contract until 2021 with Club Brugge, but it has been claimed that Limbombe will be leaving the Belgian club in the summer window in pursuit of greener pastures.

And according to Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws, there is considerable interest in England regarding the winger as Huddersfield and Southampton have been keeping tabs on his development.

Huddersfield are six points above the relegation zone and unless something dramatic happens, the Terriers are expected to secure their Premier League status for next season in the last four games.

And therefore the club are already planning ahead for the summer window, but Southampton’s position in more precarious at the moment.

The Saints occupy the last relegation spot, four points behind Swansea in 17th and their summer plans will depend on what happens over the next few weeks.

However, both English clubs could lose out on Limbombe as the player is claimed to have made up his mind about move to the Bundesliga, where a number of clubs are keen to sign him.
