Roma full-back Alessandro Florenzi has warned Liverpool that they have not finished the job at Anfield and his side will give their all in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final tie following a 5-2 defeat.

Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino scored a brace each and Sadio Mane got another to put Liverpool 5-0 ahead against the Giallorossi on Tuesday night in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final at Anfield.

However, Roma kept the tie somewhat alive when they scored two goals in the last ten minutes and Florenzi has insisted that Roma were almost out of the tie, but Liverpool didn’t finish the job.

“We lost ourselves after the first half hour”, the full-back told Italian broadcaster Premium Sport.

“We were pretty much dead but they didn’t kill us and now we have 90 minutes to do something big.”

Roma produced a shock 3-0 win over Barcelona at the Stadio Olimpico in the quarter-finals to reach the last four and they need a similar result against the Reds to reach the final.

And though Florenzi admits beating Liverpool will be tougher than the Catalan giants, the defender stressed that the Roma players will not leave anything behind on the pitch next week to make sure they produce a result.

“It will be more difficult than Barcelona, but we have to play a really big game so that we don’t have to live with any regrets.

“We have seen how difficult they can be, but we’ll give our blood for this match.”
