Former Arsenal defender Lauren believes Diego Simeone’s style of management would not suit the style of football fans want the Gunners to play.

With Arsene Wenger announcing that he will be stepping down at the end of the season, there is widespread speculation of who will eventually take the mantle from the Frenchman.

Former Arsenal captains such as Mikael Arteta and Patrick Vieira have been linked succeeding Wenger and there is also talk that Arsenal could look to rope in a big name coach.

Diego Simeone’s name has also cropped as a possible successor and his work with Atletico Madrid amidst budgetary constraints has its fans inside the Arsenal boardroom.

However, Lauren feels the former Argentina international’s style of football would not suit Arsenal as even though fans wanted change, they are keen to see the Gunners play free flowing football.
