Juventus attacking target Alvaro Morata is set to ask Chelsea to allow him to leave the club at the end of the season.

Chelsea signed the Spaniard in a club record deal last summer from Real Madrid, but the striker has struggled to settle down in his first season in England.

While he has netted 15 goals this season in all competitions, Antonio Conte has preferred playing Eden Hazard as a false nine in big games than starting the club record signing.

Morata remains on Juventus’ radar and the Italian champions are keen to get him back to Turin in the summer, with the striker set to deliver an assist to their attempts.

According to Turin-based daily Tuttosport, Morata is prepared to ask Chelsea to allow him to leave the club in the summer window as he wants to end his short adventure in England.

Returning to Juventus is believed to be his preferred choice, but the Italian champions could struggle to meet Chelsea’s asking price, believed to be around the €70m mark.

Chelsea are unlikely to budge from their stance and Juventus could look to do a deal by signing him on an initial loan deal, with a lower purchase clause.

Morata’s future remains undecided and with Chelsea’s managerial situation unresolved, it could take a lot more time for the club to make a definitive decision.
