Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri is emerging as the top choice for Arsenal to replace Arsene Wenger this summer.

Wenger has announced his departure from Arsenal at the end of the season and the focus has shifted towards who will replace the Frenchman in north London in the coming months.




A number of names have been bandied about as possible Wenger successors, with coaches such as Leonardo Jardim and Carlo Ancelotti, and former Arsenal captains Mikael Arteta and Patrick Vieira, said to be in the running.

Allegri has long been linked with a move to England and he has confirmed that once he leaves Juventus his next job will be outside Italy.
 


And according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sera, the experienced Italian has emerged as the favourite to take over from Wenger at Arsenal in the summer.

The multiple Serie A winning coach is yet to take any decision over his future and is expected to have talks with the Juventus hierarchy next month before taking a final call.

He has a contract until 2020 with Juventus, but Arsenal are keen to get convince him to move to England in the summer.

Allegri has led Juventus to two Champions League finals and have three consecutive Serie A titles.

He also won the Italian top tier as AC Milan’s coach.
