Roma are stepping up on their efforts to snap up Liverpool and Wolves target Talisca from Portuguese giants Benfica.

Talisca is currently finishing off a loan stint with Turkish side Besiktas, who have been keen to sign him on a permanent basis.




But talks between Besiktas and Benfica are some way from concluding with an agreement and other clubs are keen on the Brazilian.

Liverpool and Wolves are both keen on Talisca, but Roma are putting in the legwork to take attacker to the Stadio Olimpico.
 


Roma sporting director Monchi has flown to Portugal, according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, and is taking in the Lisbon derby between Sporting Lisbon and Benfica on Saturday night.

Monchi has been in the Portuguese capital since Friday and will speak to Benfica and Sporting Lisbon.

The Roma sporting director is also keen on Argentine midfielder Rodrigo Battaglia, but faces tough talks with Sporting Lisbon due to the 26-year-old's importance to the Lions.
