Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is keeping his cards close to his chest on the Reds' reported interest in Lyon's Nabil Fekir and Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele.

It has been claimed in France that Liverpool have agreed a €70m deal with Lyon to take Fekir to Anfield in the summer.

It is also suggested that the Reds have opened negotiations with Dembele's representatives in an effort to also snap him up.

But Klopp, asked about the pair following Liverpool's 1-0 loss at Chelsea, was in no mood to confirm or deny his interest.

Questioned in his press conference about Fekir, Klopp replied: "During the game we agreed a deal? I would be surprised about that to be honest. No comment."

Klopp was pressed on Dembele and teased his interest in the former Borussia Dortmund star, adding: "Oooh, is he on the market? Now I am interested!"

The Liverpool boss then added: "I never comment on transfer rumours."

Liverpool have been tipped to spend in the summer transfer window as they look to give Klopp a squad with more strength in depth for next season.

The Reds could be in prime position to attract players if they win the Champions League final and are crowned champions of Europe, but they could also yet finish without even Champions League football for next term.
