A Chelsea scout was at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday to watch Atalanta teen sensation Musa Barrow, who has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur, in action against Lazio.

A product of the Atalanta academy, the 19-year-old striker has been turning heads this season after he broke into the first team squad at the turn of the year.




Scoring three goals and his last four senior appearances, the youngster has emerged as a possible summer transfer target for clubs in Italy and the rest of Europe.

Juventus have been considering making a move for Barrow in the summer and even Chelsea and Tottenham have been keeping tabs on the youngster ahead of the end of the season.
 


According to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport, a Chelsea scout watched the youngster in action as recently as on Sunday against Lazio, where he scored in a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Premier League giants are alive to the talent of the 19-year-old striker and have been keeping their hawkish eyes on his progress at Atalanta this season.

He has a contract until 2020 with Atalanta and there are already suggestions that the club could demand a fee worth €20m if his suitors come calling in the summer window.

A prolific goalscorer for Atalanta’s academy sides, Barrow has managed to take his form at youth level to the senior side.
