Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim is in pole position to replace Antonio Conte at Chelsea at the end of the season, according to Italian daily Corriere della Sera.

Conte’s future at Chelsea has been subject to speculation all season and he is widely expected to leave the club in the summer due to his differences with the board.




Chelsea have been canvassing the market for a new manager for over the last few months and a number of names have been linked with the Blues job ahead of the end of the season.

And it has been claimed that Monaco coach Jardim has emerged as the top contender to replace Conte at Stamford Bridge in the summer.
 


The Portuguese has been on the wish list of a number of clubs looking for a new manager, including Arsenal and it seems he will be moving to England.

Jardim’s work at Monaco amidst financial constraints has been appreciated by many and it has led to the interest of clubs such as Arsenal and Chelsea.

However, Conte has been publicly insistent that he wants to honour his contract at Chelsea.

Monaco are also aware that they could lose the Portuguese in the summer and have been looking at a potential replacement, with Napoli’s Maurizio Sarri believed to be on their radar.
